Vodafone UK begins pre-orders for the Android powered HTC Desire smartphone

Today Vodafone UK said that the Android powered HTC Desire smartphone is available for pre-order. The device will launch on April 8th for free with a 2-year contract. The contract must have a minimum of a £30 ($45.43) plan that includes 600 minutes (900 minutes if you order online), unlimited texts, and 500MB of mobile internet. Sprint starts "Satisfaction Guaranteed or Money-Back" campaign

Today Sprint began its new "Satisfaction Guaranteed or Money-Back" campaign. If a new customer isn't happy with his or her Sprint service within the first 30 days, Sprint will refund the device purchase, activation fee, will waive the early termination fee, and will offer a full refund for service charges and taxes. Sprint also says it will waive the restocking fee. Other carriers offer a similar option, but not for a full 30 days, and they don't usually refund taxes and fees. Read the full story here.

Today Rogers Communications launched the Novatel Wireless MiFi 2372 Mobile Hotspot. The device provides a 30 foot WiFi radius for connecting your WiFi capable devices to the web. Update your Verizon Wireless Motorola DROID to Android 2.1 manually

Verizon Wireless is said to be pushing out the Motorola DROID Android 2.1 over the air currently, but if you just can't wait any longer, there's an easy-to-follow guide. We just updated our DROID following the steps over at Droid-Life.com in about three minutes. After dropping update.zip onto the root folder of your DROID's microSD card, turn off the phone, reboot holding Power and X at the same time, and then press the camera key while pressing down on the volume.
