Asus-made O2 Xda Zest Windows Mobile smartphone in works?

It seems Asus and O2 are onto something. Apparently, Global Certification Forum (GCF) has just approved the Asus GM5, codenamed “Christal,” which seems developed for the Telefonica-owned O2 mobile operator. The so called O2 Xda Zest will almost certainly run Windows Mobile (like all other Xda phones do), and will sport a tri-band GSM radio (900/1800/1900 MHz), as well as a single-band UMTS (2100 MHz). Other than that, we also know the upcoming smartphone will support video telephony and web browsing. And that’s about it. Hopefully, we’ll have more information to report soon.
