Don’t you just love the stories involving numbers from China and India? For one thing I love them — they show us just how much mobile industry is growing. Last year, Chinese mobile phone users send 429 billion text messages! Or to put it in a perspective, an average of 967 SMS were sent per user. And while that’s quite an impressive number, let’s not forget that it’s India whose mobile industry is growing at the fastest rate . During 2006, mobile operators in the “world’s largest democracy” doubled subscriptions reaching a total of 150 million users. In comparison, whole Britain has 70 million mobile phone users.
