FCC nods Sony Ericsson G700 smartphone

The Sony Ericsson G700 was introduced alongside the much-better G900 model at this year's Mobile World Congress (3GSM) in Barcelona, Spain. We never thought it will cross the Pond and somehow we still doubt that's the case, even though it just passed the FCC hurdle. Sony Ericsson is known to push virtually all of its devices through FCC, but fails to deliver them to the U.S. market. Still, I want to be an optimist here. UIQ is set to help Motorola push the Z10 and hopefully their future UIQ-based smartphones in North America. They're even organizing two UIQ Fast Track events in Boston and San Francisco this May . Sony Ericsson could certainly take advantage of UIQ's presence on the continent and aside from launching the G700, also release the WiFi-equipped G900 model. We've nothing official from the Swedish-Japanese folks, it's just me speculating at the moment. Hopefully, this will go beyond my wishful thinking… [Via: MobileWhack ] --- Related Articles at IntoMobile:
