Bytemobile to allow carriers to serve ads in off-portal web pages
ad supported web | bytemobile | mobile ad business | mobile ads | mobile web advertising | servicesJust recently, Bytemobile has announced its new product/service called Unison Advertising Module (UAM) to allow mobile operators to serve ads in off-portal web pages on virtually all mobile devices. And while at first reading this may sound like a nightmare comes true, the end result looks very promising despite the fact that users may see website’s header and footer changed to accommodate the ads. Using Bytemobile’s new solution carriers could complement data revenues and provide their customers with more affordable plans while generating additional revenue from advertising. Interested carriers should know that the UAM is part of the latest release of Bytemobile’s Unison Multi-Service Platform, and is fully integrated with their Unison Web Fidelity Service (WFS), which provides “intelligent content adaptation for open internet browsing” on virtually all handsets… Full release follows after the jump. PRESS RELEASE - Bytemobile, Inc., the global leader in mobile internet solutions for network operators, today announced the general availability of its Unison Advertising Module (UAM), which enables operators to serve targeted ads in off-portal web pages on virtually all mobile devices. As a result, carriers can quickly create new ad revenue streams to complement data revenues and subsidize the cost of data delivery. UAM is part of the latest release of Bytemobile’s Unison Multi-Service Platform. It is fully integrated with Unison Web Fidelity Service (WFS), which provides intelligent content adaptation for open internet browsing on mass-market handsets, feature phones and smartphones. Inserting ads via the Web Fidelity Module, operators can monetize subscribers’ off-portal experience, in addition to on-portal traffic, and potentially generate a multiple of their data revenues through a new ad inventory channel. The first release of UAM includes the following functions:
- An in-network ad server for insertion of targeted ads in the header and footer of content-adapted web pages
- Click-through to content-adapted PC websites, obviating the need for advertisers to invest in the development of mobile landing pages or websites
- Optional integration with media sales engines or third-party ad networks that currently serve on-portal advertising
- Media Fidelity Service for PC-quality internet video play on virtually all mobile devices
- ACCESS Mobile Content Filtering Service for parental controls on access to web content
- WAP Gateway Service for enhanced access to branded portal content on low-end handsets
- Third-party solutions for the deployment and delivery of mobile data services
Upingme wants to mobilize classified ads
classified ads | mobile ads | mobile classifieds | services | upingmeUpingme is a new free classified ads service in Britain that allows people to post adverts directly from their mobile phones. Actually they call it “Classified ads 2.0″ because of Upingme’s real-time and active (rather than passive) “nature.” The system works pretty easy. Users post their adverts by sending an SMS text “U” a space and then a message to +41-79-381-6010. After the message is sent, Upingme forwards it to the people who have what you want or who want to meet you. For instance, using Upingme you’ll be able to quickly and easily sell your stuff and/or services, find a place to stay, a party to go to, or anything that you can imagine. In order to use Upingme, you can use any mobile phone that can send and receive text messages — meaning virtually EVERY SINGLE mobile phone sold today will work with the service. And the best part (at least for the people living in the UK), following the successful London trial, Upingme is rolled out nationwide with the world launch to follow in 2008… More information is available on Upingme’s website . ---Related Articles at IntoMobile:Google AdSense goes mobileWorld's First Mobile Classifieds Services LaunchesGoogle Mobile to start running AdWords adsMobile ads keep annoying usersMobilize your website with Myxer
