Even though we’ve already seen a demo video of the Samsung i640v and even heard Vodafone saying it will launch the device as part of its Christmas collection , the Windows Mobile powered slider is still not available for purchase. As a matter of fact, it keeps occupying space on the “Coming soon” section of Vodafone’s website. Now, we have a new piece of information suggesting the Big Red will be releasing Samsung’s slider smartphone as soon as possible. What this means is hard to tell, but considering the fact that today is December 23rd, I doubt we’ll see it hitting the store shelves before the new year. On the second thought, I don’t actually care much about this device. The lack of WiFi connectivity is a deal breaker for me… [Via: the::unwired ] ---Related Articles at IntoMobile:Samsung SGH-i560 GPS Symbian slider heading to VodafoneHands on Vodafone's Samsung i640vSamsung SGH-i620 Windows Mobile 6 smartphone officially announcedSamsung SGH-i570 Symbian smartphone pictures and details leaked!Vodafone to release Samsung SGH-i620 across Europe

Now this is weird. The company that specializes in mobile gambling technologies and was also known as a disposable cellphones maker not long ago released a new Windows Mobile smartphone. And while we guess they’ve outsourced the manufacturing to some Chinese or Taiwanese OEM, it’s interesting to note they’ve made sure their new smart baby, called HOP2001 , can work on both CDMA and GSM networks. To be fair, we see no EV-DO in the specs, but HSDPA is there, meaning that for the full download speeds, you better have an account with AT&T. In addition, the HOP2001 also packs the large 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen, 3 MP camera with 10x zoom and autofocus, WiFi, stereo Bluetooth 2.0, 256 MB Flash ROM and 128 MB SRAM, built-in GPS receiver, and of course the microSD expansion slot. Quite an impressive specs for the new entrant in the smartphone market. I wonder will some carrier pick it up… [Via: CrunchGear ] ---Related Articles at IntoMobile:Verizon launches Motorola Q9m music smartphone onlineAlltell brings GoTV's Hip Hop Official, Altitude music channels to its customersInventec K871 - Windows Mobile 6.0 phone revealed at ComputexPsion Teklogix announces their ruggedized iKon Windows Mobile smartphoneOpera Mobile named 'Best Windows Mobile Browser'
