While the likes of Motorola and Palm are suffering blow after financial blow to its bottom line, Windows Mobile ODM turned world-leading manufacturer HTC continues to beat financial performace expectations. With the posting of the Taiwan-based company's 1Q 2008 financial earnings report, we see that HTC earned NT$32.7 billion (US$1.08 billion) in revenue for the first quarter of 2008. That's a 38.6% year-on-year increase, but a 16.2% decrease from the previous quarter. The first quarter's earnings meet the higher-end of market expectations for HTC. "The first-quarter bonus-adjusted net earnings were higher than expected due to a higher-than-expected gross margin and lower operating expenses in the January-March period," according to sources at HTC. Well done, HTC. Just launch the Dream already and we're sure the mobile market will help you beat more financial expectations. --- Related Articles at IntoMobile:
