Quickoffice brings eOffice native Microsoft Office document support to BlackBerry with eOffice
The BlackBerry 9000 Bold is pretty much the biggest BlackBerry news that you'll hear for some time to come, but that doesn't make eOffice for BlackBerry any less important. As the enterprise handset of choice among corporate types, RIM's BlackBerry has become synonymous with "push emailing, corporate workhorse." And, with Quickoffice's announcement of eOffice for BlackBerry, the venerable business-oriented mobile phone lineup can now enjoy native support for opening, creating, editing, and viewing Microsoft Office documents, courtesy of Quickoffice. The new eOffice suite is compatible with all current BlackBerry handsets, and should require no software updates. "Mobile professionals rely heavily on their BlackBerry handhelds to conduct work while away from the office," says Paul Moreton, vice president of product management for Quickoffice. "Our recent acquisition of DynoPlex enables us to have productivity applications across a variety of platforms. We're excited to be the first to provide a native Office suite for BlackBerry users and look forward to continuing to provide the next-level of performance to our customers."
