Samsung add to DVB-H devices with SGH-P960

dvb-h | lg | mobile tv | motorola | nokia | samsung

Samsung has shown off a "new" mobile phone, the "SGH-P960" in response to the EU choice of DVB-H as the Euro Mobile TV standard. This builds on previous P9xx series devices, to provide a 2.6-inch QVGA screen and 3.0MP camera. A number of device manufacturers support DVB-H (notables including Nokia, Motorola, LG, and of course Samsung), but as several sources have pointed our recently (including myself), the uptake hasn't exactly been stellar. However, the more devices that include a DVB-H chip (Nokia's N96 was the last big announcement before this one), the better the chances DVB-H has at growing in to a commercially-feasible service. Now all we need are a ton more devices, and some network rollouts, and we could be cookin'! [Via: Korea Times ] --- Related Articles at IntoMobile:
