Now, the reports are unconfirmed at this point, but if they pan out, Palm will be making a lay-off announcement sometime later this week. For the sake of a stress-free holiday season, we’re hoping that Palm won’t be bringing the ax down on any of its worker-bees. Of course, Palm isn’t doing all that well this quarter - or last quarter , or the quarter before that, for that matter - so it’s not all that surprising to hear that Palm is trying to with the “lean and mean” strategy when it comes to its employee-base. It’s just too bad that the renewed focus on actually making money will be at the expense of a good deal of holiday cheer and their employees’ financial stability.
