Back in November of last year, we talked about Verizon's plans to release the dual CDMA/GSM version of the Samsung i760. From then on, we haven't heard anything more about it. Until now. Not that Verizon or Samsung are announcing anything, yet. It's the FCC where we spotted the i770 smartphone, which looks familiar and if [...]

Strategy Analytics' research: Palm Centro, Samsung i760 best designed handsets; Say what?

We all know there are different kinds of research methodologies and you should always check several sources before making any judgments. But this one comes from Strategy Analytics whose buyer behavior writeup suggests its the Palm Centro that users picked as the best designed handset. Now don’t get me wrong, the Centro is quite nice device — as a matter of fact it’s probably the best looking Palm OS based smartphone ever. But what about the iPhone, or some of the Nokia and HTC models? HTC Touch anyone? Anyway, what struck us the most was that the Samsung i760 took a 2nd position in the survey. Say what? Were users just exposed to these two phones? Apparently not, as Nokia Prism and LG Rumor also scored few points along the way. Still they were not considered to be “multifunction and fully integrated” enough, whatever that means… [Via: Engadget Mobile ] ---Related Articles at IntoMobile:Verizon may have Samsung i760 world phone in the worksRed Palm Centro now available on SprintSprint to launch pink Palm Centro for Valentine's Day?Palm Centro coming to AT&T?Sprint's Palm Treo 800 Gandolf will be launched as the Palm Centro
