What I will be mostly listening to this week on my Mobile…

… will be the "Mash Up Mix 2008", mixed by the Cut Up Boys, on Ministry of Sound: As my Mobile tends to go most if not all places with me, it virtually always comes along when I'm training in the gym - and what better music to have on whilst training that some fresh new Dance muzik! Mashups, for the probably small percentage of you that aren't familiar, are typically (though not always) where the vocal from one or more tracks is taken, and laid over a new backing track. The result can be quite spectacular sometimes, leading to some great (re-)mixes, which can go on to do major damage in the music charts. Others, well, just sound awful! Anyways, there's a vibrant community producing these tunes, and if you are looking for something a bit different to go on your Mobile whilst out and about, training, or…er…. washing the dishes, then you could do worse than give this a try! The Mash Up Mix 2008 can be bought on Amazon, along with the three previous albums - all, in my opinion, are pretty reasonable! Personal favourite from all the albums, did I hear you say? Oh, that would have to be the vocal from the themetune to Baywatch, over the backing to Baby D's "Let Me Be Your Fantasy"!
